Cordoba is in Andalucia Spain; it is an epitome of a city where it both has the influence of the Moors and the Romans. The city was founded by the Romans due to the Quadalquivir River, they made it as their navigational point. This gave the Romans the advantage of shipping wines and olive oils back to Rome. The Romans also built the bridge which is the El Puente Romano; this is one of the tourists’ attractions in Cordoba. The Moors had also left structures in Cordoba; they left the Mezquita and several other Moorish-style buildings. There are several churches that were built; this is because the city was later on re conquered by the Christians. Other attractions here include the Calahorra Fort and the medieval quarter that was once a Jewish community, the La Juderia. There is also a Jewish Synagogue which is made into a museum. You will also find the Plaza del Potro and the Plaza de la Corredera, this is the town hall which is built on the site of the remnants of a Roman Temple.

The old town is full of buildings that are from the neo classical era and near the Mezquita, just a walk around the magnificent structures of the old town.
