Puente Genil is a town with just around 28,000 inhabitants. It is located on the Rio Genil near to the boundary of Cordoba and Seville. It is 24 kilometers west of Lucena and 70 kilometers south of Cordoba City . Puente Genil is on the Cordoba-Malaga railway and there is a train station in the town.
The town is famed for its "Festival de Cante Grande", the week-long Flamenco Song Festival. You ll surely enjoy the colorful costumes, the graceful, seductive dancers and the wholly festive ambience.
