Puente Genil is a town with just around 28,000 inhabitants. It is located on the Rio Genil near to the boundary of Cordoba and Seville . It is 24 kilometers west of Lucena and 70 kilometers south of Cordoba City . Puente Genil is on the Cordoba-Malaga railway and there is a train station in the town.
