Cabra is one Spanish town that is so full of life, a township of ancient places of worship and museums. The history of Cabra started as early as the Palaeolithic age, and was even made a capital at one point during the Roman empire. Subsequently, when the Moorish empire began, it became a chief location for olive oil production.
One of Cabra´s interesting sights to see is the Asuncion y Angeles Church which was originally a mosque converted into a Christian place of worship. The church still has its over forty remarkable red marble columns which will remind you of the mosque in Cordoba . It s certainly a breathtaking blend of both cultures.
