Baena

The wonderful settlement of Baena is to be found approximately 62km southeast of Cordoba . This place is a good starting point for discovering and exploring the Sierras Subb Natural Park towards the south.

It has long been eminent for its top-class olive oil production and a lot of olive oil factories can be found around the town. These factories are open to the public if in case anyone wants to procure their superb and flavorful olive oil, straight from the press.

The town of Baena is also well-known for the way it celebrates the Semana Santa or Holy Week. Countless teams of hundreds of drummers contend with how much noise they can make. Just imagine how loud it can get if up to thousands of drums are being struck all at the same time. This event really creates an unforgettable experience.
